Who is responsible
Barizi Digital Fusion runs Citeflare and is responsible for the personal data described here.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, a hashed password, passkeys and two-factor settings. If you sign in with Google, the name, email and profile picture Google shares.
- Project data: the brands, websites, competitors, prompts, countries and settings you add.
- Connected accounts: read-only Google Analytics and Search Console reports, Bing Webmaster data, and the access tokens needed to fetch them; WordPress or webhook details you add for publishing.
- Crawler logs: if you forward server logs, the URL, status, user agent, IP address and time of each AI crawler visit.
- Content: articles, drafts, tasks and conversations with the Analyst.
- Billing: plan and invoice history. Card details are handled by our payment processor; we never see or store full card numbers.
- Technical data: IP address, browser, device and request logs we need to run and secure the service.
How we use it
- to run the service: track prompts, report citations, write and publish content;
- to secure accounts and prevent abuse;
- to send account, billing and alert emails (you can turn off alerts and digests);
- to fix problems and improve the product;
- to meet legal and tax obligations.
We rely on our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running a secure service, your consent where we ask for it, and legal obligations.
AI providers
To answer tracked prompts and write content, we send your prompts and the project context they need (such as your brand, competitors and pages) to AI providers, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity, xAI, DeepSeek, Mistral and Meta, directly or through OpenRouter and DataForSEO. They process it under their API terms. Do not put information in a prompt that you would not want those providers to receive.
Google user data
When you connect Google Analytics or Search Console we request read-only access and use the data only to show your traffic and search performance inside your project. We do not sell it, use it for advertising or let people read it except where you ask, for security, or as the law requires. Citeflare’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can disconnect at any time from the app or your Google account permissions.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:
- service providers that host, store, email, bill or process data for us, under contracts that limit their use of it;
- the AI providers above;
- authorities when the law requires it;
- a buyer or successor if the business is sold or merged, under this policy.
Cookies
We use cookies that keep you signed in, protect forms and remember preferences such as light or dark mode. We do not use advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account we delete your personal data and projects within 30 days, apart from what we must keep for tax, legal or security reasons and short-lived backups that expire on their own.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to people who need it, and connection tokens are stored encrypted. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you we will tell you as the law requires.
International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. Where the law requires it, we use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under Kenya’s Data Protection Act or the GDPR), you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent. You can edit or delete most data yourself in the app. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Citeflare is a business tool and is not for anyone under 18.

If we make a material change we will email you or show a notice in the app before it takes effect.
